Don’t worry about the people in your past…
…there’s a reason they didn’t make it to your future.
There comes a time to realize that there are certain people that you once considered friends are no longer a healthy part of said life. They need to be removed from the label of friend and tolerated as people, until we move on to the next phase of our lives where we no longer have to worry about them.
I once thought that certain friends were the best things that ever happened to me, but I now have come to realize that I was sorely wrong. Utterly blind to see the lies that they proffered, it’s now easier to see the truth.
It’s hard to believe I told them everything in believing that I could trust them, only to find out what a mistake that was. The people that I considered friends have the power to destroy me, day in and day out. Luckily, I never put my true friends and family on the back burner. Those who I rely most on know how much they mean to me.
I guess this is just a warning to others - be careful of those you become friends with. Play your cards close to your chest. Realize those that will be there for the sprint and those that will be there for the marathon. Be confident in making a decision that is undoubtedly the best thing for you.
